“What does JMOC stand for?” This is typically one of the first things every new customer asks us. The answer reflects the true character of David as both a father and a son devoted to his family. David’s father, James Martin O’Connell, was a high ranked and respected executive in Sweda International and Litton Industries as well as a highly respected man in his community. He was a man of great work ethic. David and his friends grew up with great admiration for David’s father and fondly referred to him as JMOC. As David matured and grew more and more successful in the contracting industry, he learned from and emulated his father’s work ethic. Unfortunately, his father, James Martin O’Connell, died 2 years before David started his own company. Out of respect to his father, David named his company JMOC Builders, Inc.
